Buying Engagement Rings – An unforgettable time
There are many memorable moments in one’s life, some enjoyable and others painful. Agreeing to getting married is surely a moment that lives long in the memory, and to celebrate the occasion why not design your own engagement ring, an event that can be equally treasured. This idea may at first sound daunting as you will probably be wondering where to start. A good starting point is to simply sit down with your loved one and sketch a design that you like. Perhaps you want some rubies or emeralds to offset diamonds as in gemstone engagement rings, or are thinking of keeping it simple and want a diamond engagement ring that is made up of white or yellow gold with a lovely solitaire diamond in a classic mount. Whatever you decide upon, you can take your rough design to a jeweller’s shop or to a self employed diamond mounter and ask them to either find you something in stock that matches your requirements, or ask them to make it up from scratch. The advantage of going somewhere other than a shop is cost. A diamond mounter working out of their own workshop or an online store that employs goldsmiths and diamond mounters to work for them do not have the huge overheads of a store and can thus provide substantial savings to their clients.
